On the ground
Elevation, weather, and a lot of ground with no signal
Sites around Flagstaff, up the 180, and out toward Williams sit at seven thousand feet in forest, and a good number of them have no usable cellular signal at all. A surveillance system that phones home over LTE simply has nothing to talk to. Ours uses a satellite uplink, so the parcel's carrier coverage is not part of the equation.
Weather is the other difference. Winter shortens the solar day and snow sits on an array, so the honest answer is that a northern Arizona deployment needs its battery reserve sized with that in mind and its position picked for sky rather than convenience. That is a planning question we work through before anything is towed, not something you discover in January.
Down the hill toward Sedona, Camp Verde and Cottonwood the constraint flips back to heat and dust, and the same platform handles it — but the placement plan is genuinely different, and we write it per site.
